Installing Solar Panel

SOLAR SYSTEMS

Our solar systems are compatible from 5KVA to the 7.2KVA and higher specifications. Here is a brief overview of how to determine the rations between panels, inverters and backup batteries.

  • Panels: Analyze your daily electricity usage (kWh) and local sun exposure. This will determine the total power (kW) your panels need to generate.

  • Inverter: The inverter's size should be equal to or slightly larger than the total power of your panels. Don't exceed the inverter's capacity!

  • Batteries: This depends on how much backup power you need during outages. A larger battery bank provides more autonomy but increases cost.

PLUG AND PLAY

While we specialise in systems connected to your home's electrical DB board, we also offer a Plug and Play System.

If
you just want to watch TV, DStv, run your WiFi and a light to work, we offer a smaller system that ONLY operates in one space (i.e. all the appliances would need to be in the same space, but you can run a lead to you the components). You can also charge cellphones and laptops at the same time.

The Cape-Inverter Plug and Play system consists of:

  • A2400V/1400w Inverter (Dimensions 345x400x450mm)

  • 2 x 100ah batteries

  • 2 x battery cables

  • 1 x cabinet for batteries (450x240x270mm)

To find our more, please email wendy@cape-inverters.co.za and stay connected the next time the power goes off.
